  • My dear friend Gina LOVES green. So of course I had to make her a whimsical card with green butterflies for her birthday! I picked up this die from my LSS (Scrapbook Island) when there was a sale. Completely and utterly in love with this die. So pretty and can be used for all occasions!

    For this card, I cut the die out twice and then cut the butterflies out of one of the papers. I used that paper as an overlay to only expose the butterflies so I could color them with distress inks. Then I added Perfect Pearls in mint and turquoise. Then to soften up the plain white background, I splattered some of my green pencils from my derwent inktense set.

  • I was trying out some paper piecing ideas I had in my head. Not as successful as I'd like. But it's still an interesting card. Originally, I got inspired by this card made by riesling mama. But when I tried to make that card, It just looked all mish-mash-chaotic-all-over-the-place. I had the same paper with me so I attempted to change it a little and got these diagonal bars.


     
    Then the space above and below the sentiment + pieces  was too bare and I needed a softer background to balance the hard edges. In came my wood stamp and my perfect pearls. I think I like it... but not completely loving it.

  • The feminine version of my first card from day 5's online card class holiday series. You can check my masculine version from my previous post.  I love using white on white! It's so pretty! and i'm in love with using the white perfect pearl on white paper. Shimmery goodness! But I wonder if this card is too puffy and embellished to make it through the mail...

    Background: Hero Arts woodgrain stamp with Ranger Perfect Pearls Pigment Powder in Perfect Pearl. 
    Branch: Wendy Vecchi embossing paste coated with pearl embossing powder and Ranger Distress Glitter in Rock Candy
    Snowflakes: inked with versamark then coated multiple times with champagne, pearl, and silver embossing powders.

  • Neenah Desert Storm base card with brown card stock card front. hero arts wood grain stamp inked with versamark and covered with Ranger perfect pearls. Love the perfect pearls! I just bought it this weekend and it's GORGEOUS!
