• Made this for my friend's new born. Well more for her parents, but you know what I mean. Design by MyCasualWhimsy on Etsy.
  • This card is dedicated to Giorgia one of the sweetest craft girls on IG. She's Italian but speaks English really well. As an American I don't even notice when I use colloquialisms or metaphors that to me seem natural but sound probably really strange to a not native-English speaker. One of the crafty gals mentioned that Giorgia is "busy as a beaver" and so she googled "BEAVER" which returned some photos/articles of the non-4 legged but still furry persuasion.. Needless to say she was terribly confused about the phrase so as a supportive giggle about the whole situation, a few of us decided to make a card dedicated to her and this one is mine.

  • Inspired by and dedicated to Kathy Racoosin at www.thedailymarker.com and @kathyrac on IG. #thedailymarker30daycoloring2 is over and this was my last cars for this challenge. I didn't participate daily but I still enjoyed coloring when I could and making many new crafty friends on Instagram.

  • How sweet is my Julius. Colored this sweet stamp set by Birdie Brown (Torico) and MFT Stamps

  • Mother's day is right around the corner and I didn't wait until the last minute to make a card. Go me! Because I'm seriously good at procrastinating. But seriously, my mom is one of the sweetest women I know and I'm lucky to have been raised by such a caring, generous, and happy lady.

  • I love having art handmade by friends and family in my home! This print was sent to me by my dear niece Lindsay Graviet. She's currently a 2nd year student at BYU Provo and was recently accepted into the Graphic Arts program!  For as long as I can recall, she's always been artsy and had a keen eye for fashion. She's pretty amazing! So proud of this girl.

  • Made this cute castle 3D box card for my friend's daughter. She's so stinkin' cute and she's a big Disney princess fan. So what's more appropriate for a birthday card than a pink castle? maybe if it came with a little paper unicorn.

The pattern is from svgcuts.com but I added the little silhouette of Cinderella in there on my own. Colored her dress and the background inside the door with my Wink of Stella pens.

  • My big sister commissioned me for some thank you cards. I remembered I hadn't used my Folk Art Florals stamp set from WPlus9 so this was the perfect opportunity to use it! I often research how others have used a stamp set before I use it because sometimes I just draw blanks - a girl needs serious inspiration sometimes!  I should use card sketches more often too. This particular design was inspired by Iwona at ipalamountain.com at this blog post: http://www.ipalamountain.com/2013/04/cas-love

I used a combination of dye inks from Hero Arts and pigment inks from Versamark and Memento Luxe. The thank you sentiment is from Fresh Cut Florals - another WPlus9 stamp set. I also used my gelly roll white pen to add extra details on the flowers as well as using a variety of pearl type embellishments for an elegant touch.

  • Picked up this gift card pop-up box cut file from the silhouette store when there was a sale. Love this! Every time I find something new and fancy I can make with my silhouette, I get excited! This design is by Jamie Lane Designs. So cute!

My niece turns 18 today and yes, by the time the mailed gift arrives to her, it'll be late. But it's ok. Gift cards don't go bad!

This is my sweet birthday girl! She amazes me every day. She has an incredibly good heart and she's so talented - Beautiful inside and out! She graduates from high school next month at the top of her class and will attend BYU Provo in the fall along with her sister who will be a Junior! Watch out world, the Graviet girls are together again! Happy Birthday, sweets! So proud of you and love you tons!

  • A birthday card for my big sister!

Design is from svgcuts.com and scaled down to fit my silhouette portrait.

  • Another 3D box card - custom for my friend's nephew. Hello, Monkey!

Base is originally from svgcuts.com. The monkey and cupcake elements are from misskatecuttables.com

  • Made this one for my niece for her birthday. I love this one!

Day 6! Stamped a few pieces of paper ahead of time so I could take them to work and play during lunch. This cutie pear/pair stamp image from Sweet Stamp Shop gets me every time! They're so cute!

Inked with Hero Arts Black Dye and colored with Prismacolor Premier pencils and Gamsol

Doodled this funky little leafy/teardrop-y thing and colored it in with pastel Bic Markers.

Hello! It's day 3 of Kathy Racoosin's #TheDailyMarker30day Coloring challenge. I'm quote enjoying myself with this challenge. I've allowed myself time to color and doodle now! If only cleaning up the crafting stuff as as fun as using it. *sigh*

I used the teddy bear stamp from Technique Tuesday and colored it with my Derwent Inktense pencils. I LOVE those pencils. Super saturated and pigmented. Ridiculously awesome pencils. I went over the coloring with a small bit of water just to smooth it out.

I also doodled like I used to do in the old days! Back then, I doodled whatever was in front of me or around me. This time around (Since it's been so long), I went totally free. I stuck with teardrop, circle, and leaf shapes because that's what I gravitate towards. Used my Zig Millenium pen for the doodling.

It's day 2 of The Daily Marker's 30 day coloring challenge!

I'm so happy to see other artists participating in this challenge when I'm looking through the #thedailymarker30day hashtag on Instagram. It's very inspiring and encouraging to see so many people working on getting back to their coloring roots. I noticed that this whole challenge is a great way for me to practice my techniques and it's the perfect way for me to dig into my stamps to find images to color.

Today, I used a stamp set from Some Odd Girl called Owl Days and my Prismacolor pencils with Gamsol to color the stamp image. That little owl is so adorable!
